G - Glan-y-Mor is a Green Flag school

L - Litter is messy, dangerous and costs money to clear away

A - Always put litter in the bin

N - Never drop litter

Y - You are responsible for litter

M - Make sure we keep our "A grade" for managing litter

O - Our pupils deserve a litter-free school

R - Remember that litter harms wildlife

Congratulations - Glan-y-Môr achieves 3rd Green Flag

Our Eco Committee proudly display our latest award for excellence in environmental education.  This week, after a rigorous assessment visit by Bethan Evans-Phillips of Keep Wales Tidy, we heard the good news that we have achieved our third Green Flag.  Bethan praised our pupils for their enthusiasm and commitment to eco schools, describing them as "brilliant".  Glan-y-Môr scored highly on encouragement of wildlife, our garden projects, and the regular monitoring of energy, water, oil and waste. We also met the highest standard for control of litter.  Work will start next week on our next goal, to achieve the coveted Platinum Award.
